Strolling and Chill'n at the Beach

Sadly our time is coming to an end in a few days, although my Mom as brought enough clothes for another week...she would like to stay!

This morning we took a stroll along the beach, taking advantage of these warmer temperatures and sunshine before heading back home. We stopped at a beachfront restaurant for brunch (Trattoria Waterfront Restaurant) @ Praia dos Alemaes. Great views!

We continued to do laps up and down the beach. This seemed to be a daily ritual for some...great way to get in your steps. Take off the shoes and walk along the water's edge - but don't get too close or else your clothes may get a bit wet.

After our morning stroll, we retreated back to the apartment to change into legit beachwear. The waves seemed to be a little more powerful as the day went on as the wind was picking up. We saw this one couple get totally swamped by a wave. They resurfaced - all good! It happened quickly! Water is powerful. Give it respect.

It was great to have a relaxing beach day and take it all in for our last full day - and enjoying some gelato too. It gives me a good excuse to return to the Algarve and do the things I could not do on this trip. Who's with me?

Looking at the long range forecast for next week - so lucky we had booked this week for our holiday.
